SWEEPSTAKES is a fast-paced dice game in which you will be betting on the
outcome of the roll of six dice. There are 4 types of bets you can make:
(1) Where the highest number rolled will appear. (Letters A-F)
(2) Same as (1) but letter chosen will cover 2 dice. (Letters G-J)
(3) Whether the Dice rolled will produce any Pairs. You win if any 2 dice,
next to one another match. (Letter P)
(4) Whether the Dice rolled will produce a Straight. You win if 3 consecutive
dice appear in numerical sequence. (Letter S)
If you lose a bet the number of points you bet are added to the JACKPOT. The
JACKPOT is accessed by ALL players, including those playing on another node
at the same time you are playing. As points are added to, or subtracted from
the JACKPOT, the new JACKPOT total will be reflected on ALL players screens
simultaneously.
You will be advanced 100 points to begin play. When you lose those 100 points
you will be advanced another 100 points, however, you will have to wait until
the next day to play again. If you bet reasonably, until such time as you can
build up a high score, you should be able to play the game daily, up to the
maximum number of games your Sysop has alloted per day. Of course if you get
greedy... well you know what happens.
You will find the winning payoffs displayed at the bottom of the playing
screen. To win the JACKPOT you must roll 6 dice of the same value OR a
straight (1-6 in exact numerical sequence). It is not easy, but then if
it was it would not be called a JACKPOT.
